No idea. But I do know it's going to be even crazier than last year. Now ISU has to get ready this time to play ball.Do you think Dean Hamiti will transfer this year?
Yep. We have to go in like a bitting sow on some of the big guys in the portal. 125 165 and 197No idea. But I do know it's going to be even crazier than last year. Now ISU has to get ready this time to play ball.
Sadly for Wisconsin I think that was strictly to ensure they didn’t lose a home dual to Bucknell, along with giving Max Maylor a few matches before being back down to weight at 174.Hamiti is awesome, but not sure he’s still a 65. Tested the waters a bit at 74 already this year.
Seems like Levi Haines will be a 165 at some point, but maybe not.Sadly for Wisconsin I think that was strictly to ensure they didn’t lose a home dual to Bucknell, along with giving Max Maylor a few matches before being back down to weight at 174.
Two years ago I would have said for sure he wouldn’t be a career 165. Seems like he could handle it for another year now.
It could depend on who goes 174 next year too. I could see O’Toole going up with Mocco gone. Could also Penn State bumping Messenbrink/Starocci and getting Facundo back in at 165. If those two vacate the weight, Hamiti is probably a title favorite there.
Euton I think is a good solid backup. I’ve watched Rojas matches and nothing has really blown me away. Dresser has a set a standard now proving he wants to win Big 12 and get a team trophy. Euton and Rojas are guys I don’t believe can keep the standard but they are good backups. I think dresser and staff needs to hit to portal hard this offseason. Especially 125 165 and 197Do you think MJ maybe goes down to 165 next year? He seems a bit small for a 174lber, or are we banking on Euton/Rojas to man 165 next year? I was excited with Euton as he seemed pretty decent, but he got beat pretty bad by Drake Rhodes of Iowa at the Flash Flanagan open this past week which is a bit concerning.
Haines will not be able to beat Messenbrink and I don’t see either at 174 even if Starocci doesn’t return.Seems like Levi Haines will be a 165 at some point, but maybe not.
Don’t think O’Toole bumps unless Starocci calls it quits or goes 184.
If we can get a high AA quality kid, I assume we would take them at 125, 165, 174 and 197 especially if it’s for 1 year. Frost had few head scratchers last year so not real concern on Euton as he is basically a true freshman after being out all of last year.
If we get a 165 pounder, I could see Euton challenging MJ and Rojas at 174. Same thing if we get a stud 174 pounder, all 3 will go down to 165.
My short list would be:
165/174 - Hamiti
174 - Devos
197 - Cardenas (only one that is in portal)
197 - Little
Except for Little these are 3 guys with 1 year left that should be top 3-4 at there weight next year. Lots of Seniors nationally are this year. I would not spend on 125 unless a few of them separate themselves from the bunch. I would rather see what Meza can bring to the table as I believe he will start his career at 125.
I think that was/is in the plans & the decent plan has to start now. Haven’t seen his weights to be able to know if that is still in playWould Schon be able to lean out and challenge for 197 next season?
I'd love to at least see him in some duals next season. He's so dang strong and seems like a dude who could really thrive in a hyped dual environment.
We need a heavyweight next year, don't we?Would Schon be able to lean out and challenge for 197 next season?

Yonger is backWe need a heavyweight next year, don't we?
He has a COVID year and believe he has said he'll be back. Him and Echemendia will do one more year together is the plan that was posted here previously.I didn't know! Roster shows him as a senior.
