Making Des Moines HAS to be priority #1 for the off season. That would likely require you to be a top 4 seed. 1 of the spots will almost certainly be taken by Kansas. Midwest Reginal is at Hilton South. SO we'd have to be better than Kansas to make that...

Getting a top 4 seed in 2023 requires a top 4 finish in the LOADED Big 12. IB and Jaz returning is the MINIMUM to do that. Non-conference slate for 2022/23 is brutal too with the invite to the PK Invitational

Hunter
AJ Green
IB
Joey Hauser
Dawson Garcia

Time to load up the NIL coffers and make this happen
I think Jaz is severely underrated. Im 100% comfortable with him as a primary forward on a team that would need to earn a 4 seed or better to get to Des Moines. If IB comes back and you are able to convince AJ to come play for his Dad that is a ridiculous backcourt. We will see in regards to Tre King it sounds like he is pretty darn talented. A stud high level transfer in the frontcourt would be needed.

Did I miss something regarding Joey Hauser? Isnt he still playing with Michigan State?

He is but I think there’s a rumor that he could transfer. Wisconsin guy, went to Marquette, good three point shooter from the forward spot. Iowa state would be interested I’m sure.

I really like Jaz as well for all the dirty work he does. I just wish he could take guys off the dribble and shoot a mid range jumper or go to the rim.

I like him too. Hopefully he'll stay another year and can add that a little more to his game. His length at top of defense has to bother opponents and he can be a good rebounder.

Not exactly sure.
I think Lipsey could surprise people. One huge advantage he has is location. Once he committed (at least signed) I’m sure he has been hanging out at sukup and getting assistance on things. It’s like we will have an early entry with them entered into school. Get his outside shot flowing and I think we will see him more as the year goes.

I think at the bare minimum we'll be getting a good backup PG and someone who loves Iowa State. Just based on that alone I am excited and he'll have time to develop behind Hunter for a year or 2 before its his turn to run the show

I'm good friends with two parents of kids closely involved with the UNI program. One of them says there's nwih AJ would transfer to ISU, and one says there's an excellent chance it happens.

Personally, I can't imagine why he wouldn't be ready to start making some money, but he and his dad have missed a lot of time together the last year so who knows?

I have kinda been sitting on this for a while but my wife is friends and in a business group with a member of the Jacobson family who thinks Green is going to ISU. This is just his opinion but being who he is he knows more than we do regarding the topic. He didnt form his opinion from nothing.

Let’s not get in a hurry there’ll be a lot in the portal once all tournaments are over! I look for AJ Green to play for his Dad one more time! Rumor going around Cedar Falls!
I was told by one of those guys with "UNI" in their usernames that there was a 100% chance Green wanted to play professionally somewhere next year.

Has something changed in the last couple months we don't know about? He would be the ultimate prize of transfer season if true.

I think people are throwing **** at walls and hoping it sticks because he shares a last name with one of our coaches

I wanted this dude bad out of HS. I hope TJ reaches out.

Read older article that he was redshirting this year. Is that correct? He is out of South Dakota so would think TJ would know about him. Wonder if he goes back home and plays for the Jackrabbits?
