I respect the suggestion. I really should join the premium board as I love to follow recruiting. But while I decide...just a quick question. Is there ever a hint of a stealth recruit or transfer that doesn't get publicly put out or leaked on twitter regardless?
Yes

Isn't a message board built for speculation? Im sure it's fun to be spoon fed everything. But I enjoy the wreckless speculation and unknowns of transfer season.
I mean, I'm just trying to get others to support Cyclone media, the spoon fed behind the scenes info is just an added bonus.

We're one of 2 power 5 schools in a small state and our online and gameday support is massive compared to what it could/should be. I believe sites like CF, WRNL, 247, the Cyclone Twitter, community, etc. helped cultivate that existing passionate fanbase and, coupled with the success of the past decade, allowed that community to explode in size and strength. They for sure helped me get hooked on Cyclone sports when I was in college. 10 bucks a month or whatever it is seems like a good deal to keep this stuff free for new fans to enjoy.

There's been some info on someone we're after that hasnt had a lot of info coming out
This could work two ways... Yes it'd be interesting to know who they're in on, but also if the staff is recruiting someone hard, but he decides to go somewhere else, then I likely never knew about him. I can't do a bunch of research, projections, and getting my hopes up for someone I don't know about.

Even though I do enjoy the premium stuff, half the fun is jumping to every conclusion possible with each and every name.

It's a long off-season before CMC takes the field in September. I'd rather spend a week thinking about landing Grant Basile and lineup opportunities with him at the 5. Over knowing on day 2 that he is going to Notre Dame or Wisconsin.

To each their own

My favorite thing is building up to really wanting a guy. Knowing he could be our difference maker. Then he commits somewhere else, then he ends up averaging like 3 points and 1 board a game. Knowing dang well he would have averaged about that with us also. 90 percent of these guys coming up from lower schools won't do much in the big leagues. 10 percent will have a great impact.

It appears we are no longer pursuing another transfer we were linked with at one point

Hopefully that means we backed off and think we are getting someone better. Either that or the player decided he was not interested. Either one is fine. Plenty of options right now.
