"Smoke" out there that Tiger may give the Masters a try.
His jet went to Augusta today. I'm guessing this is the test to see how well he can handle the walk. I still don't think he'll play, but St. Andrews now seems like a forgone conclusion, barring setbacks, of course.

I’m so over Tiger at this point.
I'm am too for about 50 weeks of the year where he just can't win. Augusta and The British are different. Not that he can win this year, he can't.

I really wish, when healthy he'd go play some of these smaller tournaments that fit him like Harbour Town or The Travelers. Give back to those places he never went to where the walk is easy and he could possibly compete.

Unless his leg swells up tomorrow I think Tiger is playing next week:

I am sure Tiger was testing his leg. But he was probably testing his game as well. I would be very surprised to see Tiger tee up if he's not confident he can shoot around par.

That guy always thinks he can shoot a 59 playing left handed at Augusta and probably will think that until the day he dies. He’s like the poster boy for a Sports-abused children.

Whether you like it or not he still moves the needle more than every other golfer combined probably. I’d love to see him back and playing consistently into his 50’s. Who wouldn’t want that?

Me? I like golf right now the way it is. It’s nice learning about other players and having other players featured. I feel like there are quite a few guys that play a really exciting style of modern golf. I don’t like one player domination on the tour or even 2 or 3 that are a head above the rest. That doesn’t breed any rivalries. I also like the international flair that we have with Rahm, Cam Smith, etc vying for World #1. My favorite era of golf was the early-mid 90’s just pre-Tiger. Faldo, Norman, Couples, and Payne is my all-time favorite.

Poor kid only made a billion dollars and became a worldwide legend.

But his dad never loved him. So he had to go and bang Denny’s waitresses while his wife and kids were at home, then got busted and denied it, then got busted AGAIN and drove his Escalade off the road at 2:30 am probably while being pilled out.

If we’re only looking for good clean perfect athletes to watch and support…. the list would be EXTREMELY short.

I can understand all of that. I like the players now for sure and there is some damn exciting golf, but I have nothing against tiger the golfer. It’s not his fault they talk about him constantly. The semi average golf fan will tune in if tiger plays and that pumps up numbers. It sucks that it’s the way it is still but if he’s playing that is a good story and I hope he plays well. I am still a tiger fan.

What if he can't finish the round/shoots 95?

No question. I was at the 2018 PGA Championship when he made a serge and it was insane how distinct the roars were when he had a moment.

I totally get people wanting new blood in the sport, and I’m all for it, but when tiger is around and playing well there is nothing that compares. Not even remotely close. It’s honestly weird how golf is so different from the other sports. When Tom retires the buzz for the nfl won’t diminish, there just aren’t any golfers that can dominate like he did and I think that is what the casual fan wants to see. Whether it’s right or wrong isn’t up to me, just what I see.
