***2022 PGA Championship***

General golf note: spring golf is tough. Rough is so thick, and grows so fast. Had a round the other day where I shot 55 on the front (the easier 9 where I play), and 40 on the back, and the main difference was that I started finding fairways.

Some people ascribe to the “Drive for show, putt for the dough” line of thought. Maybe for the pros that’s true. But for any am golfer that’s in the 5-18 handicap range finding the fairway on 4’s and 5’s and hitting 50% of greens on the 3’s is more important imo.

Definitely agree. I usually tee off with my rescue 3 for that reason, but this year, I'm pulling that thing like crazy. Had to switch to my driver, which is actually going straight now. Go figure.

These ESPN cameramen need some training on how to follow the ball in flight. Spieth, Rory and Tiger teed off on 10, and the camera didn't follow any of their balls. Just aimed the camera where he must have assumed the balls would be. Get better, guy.
