What I'm getting at is it's really hard to help someone unless they themselves dig in and are willing to help themselves. Easier said than done but for true restoration it has to at least be a partnership.

I totally get what you're saying and I agree - I'm just saying AB is the kind of guy that isn't going to do that for himself because he doesn't see himself as the problem. Everyone else is.

I think somewhere in there we're saying the same thing. That's the sad part of it--someone in that situation needs to help themselves or be willing to and it likely won't happen.
