Can you imagine if we had Butler on 2020 roster? With that said I think Butler might have got drafted higher if he stayed another year with the respect Iowa state is starting to get

He didn’t fall to the 4th because he played for ISU. He dropped because he had an insane drop rate.

Can you read (as in seriously)? You just quoted definitions that prove my stance and debunk yours. The ball can be short of the intended target (receiver or spot) WITHOUT being low. Did you graduate from Iowa?

I knew I was going to have to define “short.

You do realize that “short” and “behind” are not the same thing, right? Or maybe you don’t, and that’s the whole problem.

Edit: Pardon me, I should specify. On a vertical route, an underthrown pass can be behind the receiver and “short”. However, on a lateral route or crossing pattern downfield, a pass thrown behind a receiver is just that, behind.

“Underthrown ” is not a synonym for “poorly thrown”. It simply means the ball wasn’t thrown hard enough, didn’t travel far enough.

Whenever a receiver has to jump for the ball, it’s the exact opposite. Either the pass was intentionally thrown high, or it was overthrown..
