I think for the draft this year, Bailey’s the only hope to get drafted. I’m not sure what scouts think of him.
I do however think the likes of Soehner and Nwangu could have a chance in the NFL as undrafted guys. Soehner especially could be an interesting project for a team who wants a blocking specialist. He could maybe even be a rare tackle convert if he put on extra weight.
You two don’t know what underthrown means.
You’ve successfully described “overthrown” and “threw behind” the receiver. Congratulations.
“Underthrown” is when a pass is thrown low, or short of the receiver, and they have to go down to get it. If it’s not already in the dirt.
Uh, no. If a receiver beats his man downfield, but has to wait on the ball rather than catching it in stride, the ball was underthrown.

This can't be farther from the truth and is an oversimplified, and woefully inaccurate description of an underthrown ball. By definition underthrown is any ball that falls short of it's intended target OR falls short of where it SHOULD have been thrown. On many of those Butler throws the ball was, in fact, underthrown on many occasion.
Saying that an underthrown ball needs to be low is utterly preposterous.
Anyone who is all big 12 first team, as a TRUE SOPHOMORE, usually gets drafted. Will McDonald did that this year. I don't care if he's on the lighter side, he's been torching big 12 tackles for two years now and is still getting batter.
I think by the end of the season he was Batman and Jaquan was Robin out there.
I love JaQuan, but there’s an extra step McDonald has that Bailey did not.
Bailey is more of a bull rush guy. Which might be a problem for him at the next level. McDonald is pure winning speed off the edge. That’s something the next level salivates over. He just needs to prove he can have the strength as well.
I don't disagree with anything you said, but McDonald was a redshirt sophomore this season.

Looks like he's a 4.7-4.8 40 guy. If he could consistently get on the lower side of that scale, you'd think he'd be good. He's never going to be Vernon Davis athletically, but he's a lot bigger than Davis was, so he would be filing a different role.

Can you read (as in seriously)? You just quoted definitions that prove my stance and debunk yours. The ball can be short of the intended target (receiver or spot) WITHOUT being low. Did you graduate from Iowa?

I know, right? A ball can fall short of it's target without being low. An underthrown low throw over the middle that's underthrown will likely be "low' in relation to the spot or receiver. Almost every deep throw will likely drop from a higher angle, making them not "low". I'm not sure if he's just trying to pick a fight or can't understand the distinction (when everyone else does).
He needs to get closer to 250 (while not losing quickness) and show some more versatility in every down situations.
With that said he's the most athletic guy relative to position we have on this team. He's a first round pick if he can play like he did this year and add the above. He's a stud.
