Got fired at Bowling Green for slapping women that he didn't know on the ass at a bar.
He can absolutely coach but that's going to be tough to overcome. Was Greggggggg Marshall's top assistant/bag man at Wichita for the Final Four run.
Seems like he’d be a perfect fit at Louisville
I don't think any of the big 12 coaches are really on the table but some other leagues will get poached for the SEC jobs. The domino effect could lead to guys like Bruce Weber or even Steve Prohm getting mid major jobs.
That same effect will happen in the portal when all of these coaches start bouncing around. It's going to get nuts.
Totally random thought...I feel like 6 SEC jobs could mean a lot of kids transferring that Prohm and a staff he would put together may have a connection with.

Evansville should be on the phone with Bruce Weber yesterday.
I'm also pretty surprised the Prohm didn't even get a look at Illinois State, that would have been a really good job for him. They have a history of recruiting Memphis and Nashville pretty hard. Then again, Illinois State hired the worst guy on their list so maybe it's not surprising.
If I were an MVC AD with an opening, Bruce would be my guy at almost any school. You'd guess he would have gotten at look at the Illinois job had he been available.

Mike Boynton leaving the conference would likely be a net positive for Iowa State.

I certainly am not opposed to KState and OSU taking a step back. Don't need them to be awful but a couple more manageable wins on the schedule would be nice.
A nebraska and northwestern in the Big 12 would be nice

Yeah, the tournament committee made it pretty clear that having some horrible teams at the bottom of your conference really doesn't matter.
Boynton would be a good hire. He is shaky in game as imo but it is hard to tell when he's had to cut his teeth playing 12-15 games against hall of fame type coaches every year. Feels like he never quite got over the hump, even with Cade. He'd be interesting at an sec school where nil money is going to be thrown around. Seems like he'd kill it on the recruiting trail.
Weber is a decent coach but he is already 65. You know he will have a limited shelf life if he goes anywhere.
