MLB: ***2022 MLB SEASON THREAD***

More example of the umps thinking people are there to see them. Second pitch of the AB in a 3-3 game and you think he threw at him on purpose? Just absolutely ridiculous not to just give a warning.
This conversation keeps reminding me of this gem.

Oakland just DGAF about anything anymore. From the Twins PxP guy:

Not ideal to lose a catcher the day of a double header. Also weird that neither guy tested positive but do have some covid or flu like symptoms. I certainly get the precaution but am a bit curious on how they get off the list in that instance, maybe "I feel better and haven't tested positive".

Would of been nice for you guys to avoid this fiasco until after the White Sox serious........ I was actually rooting for you this weekend.

Yank's might not be in first by the All-Star break, will maybe be the Jays. Pitching has been really good but team has been carried by Judge and Stanton and they are just an injury away from not being able to score enough runs to win. Think it's starting, two Tommy John's last week. Feel bad for Chad Green, been Yankee bullpen workhorse and anchor and thrown more innings out of the pen than anyone else for them over the last five years. Free agent year for him and all of that potential $$ just goes poof with the elbow.

They are lucky they signed catcher Jose Trevino as a backup. Kid they got from the Twins (who was supposed to be the backup) isn't likely to even play this year, he's now on the 60-day IL and Higgy is Covid sidelined. Now Trevino is #1 with a journeyman stiff as his backup.
