That is a BAD loss for a team close to the bubble. Michigan losing to Illinois hurts their chances as well (should end them).
This is really going to be an interesting NCAA tournament for the B1g. I have a sneaking suspicion they’re better than advertised finally. I hope I’m wrong.

They have enough capable teams that can also slip up badly.

I'm not convinced the B12 will dominate overall.

Between this game, Iowa and MSU and even uni back in tourney against a&m it amazes me how a team could lose a double digit lead with a minute left or so. Take care of the ball, hit your free throws and your gold.
As was pointed out after ISU’s meltdown in Lubbock, if the Cyclones had just run down the shot clock on every possession in the last 12 minutes, it would have been impossible for Tech to come back and win. They wouldn’t have had to score, just limit possessions.
