Jay Wright, somehow, doesn't get anywhere near the credit he deserves for how good he is.
I think ISU is going to get Nova at a great time. Still figuring things out with a new coach/culture. I think ISU buzz saws them personally. We’ll see….they’re also missing their 2 best players iirc.
ESPN’s matchup predictor gives us over 62% chance against Nova. They were 13-20 on threes against Lasalle but started 2-20 against Delaware State. Hard to know what they are at this point.
Perhaps. I'm not sure what to think, that'll be the first opponent ISU faces with any kind of pulse/profile AND first away from Hilton. I'm not counting any chickens. I'm excited to find out, though!
Side-note …….TCU has not looked good against mediocre competition. Underwhelming thus far this year. But I’m sure they’ll be final four level good come conference play Haha

No Miles. But they still should beat a team like that if they're a top 20 team. Which I don't think they are...this loss even without Miles plus the close call the other night? Not impressed.
TCU preseason hype train will derail a bit. Probably should be 1-2 (barely survived vs UAPB).
Top 6 (?) scorers returned from last season ... So it isn't an early-season get-to-know-you roster situation.

Still early but the Big12 might not be quite as tough top to bottom as we thought. Might be able to pick up more wins than we thought. Obviously still a tough league. Maybe TCU just got hot last year at the right time but it wasn't sustainable?
