Haha Johnson: 'That's not a good shot'.

He's correct but just funny timing.

I don't really want to deal with Pitt's 3 point shooting, Let's go MSU
Ya I'm suprised how CW didn't make any parallels to our struggles with EIU and Mizzou. I think he just kinda thinks they are aberrations. He is worried about our struggles with OSU.

I might be in the minority, but I kind of think its the opposite. Without us OSU had 5 wins, same as tech. I think they just shot better than they are capable of twice against us, and both losses were a bit flukey.

I think our offense is mostly based on what we get out of our limited options as opposed to what other teams do to us. I don't like the idea of a good scoring team stepping into 30 footers and tough 2's regardless of how good we defend. I'd take my chances with another defensive team and slug it out.

We'll see.

I feel confident in ISU leaving it out there and playing their asses off but I'm not taking a one game sample to predict anything.

Strictly by ratings, Pitt, at 77, is lower rated than any team we've lost to. Then again, our record vs the bottom half of the conference doesnt help inspire confidence there either

Watched condensed game of Hofstra @Rutgers, some truly ridiculous home court officiating for Rutgers and they still lost.

Hofstra had an insane 5 point comeback with 27 seconds left to force OT.

Darlinstone Dubar had 17 for Hofstra, looked pretty good. He banked in a 3 in OT.

Agreed. Anything can happen in one game so taking anything from this game either good or bad is just a bad idea.

I'm in the camp of throwing out all ratings/efficiency/trends etc. in early rounds and hope for the best.

Was not expecting Pitt to be dressed like Wichita State/Pepperdine. Idk why, but their willingness to go rogue scares the crap out of me.

I'd prefer the team that looks like they've been recycling hand-me-downs since 1996.

The skip pass is a kryptonite on ISU's defense.

Would love to hear TJ and the coaching staff’s comments to the team as they watch this game. I’m a little surprised how Pitt makes no attempt to drive the lane.

Was passing through the DFW area and went to an NIT game at TCU back in 2019. Nice arena, very small. Crowd was unimpressive and not into the game.

My last NIT game before that was back in 2004. We won't talk about that one.
That's funny, as I went to an NIT game @ TCU (vs. Oregon) back in 1999 on a business trip to the Metroplex. I've also been to two Alabama NIT Games played in Birmingham (1979 vs. Virginia and 1980 vs. Penn State) and @ LSU (1983 vs. New Orleans). As a matter of fact, the first CBB game I ever attended was the Virginia vs. Alabama game @ Birmingham. The Tide won 92-90 behind a HUGE night by Reginald "The Mule" King! Finshed 3rd in the NIT that year.
