Kinda surprised there’s not already a thread on this. Will finally be in JTS tomorrow night to cheer on the boys. What should I expect from those that have already been there? I‘ve heard it’s weird as hell.

I went to the OU game, I thought the game experience was good. Obviously not the same as normal, but considering the crowd size it was good. The walk to the stadium was extremely weird though. Seeing all the tailgating lots empty was really sad.

From what I understand, you can leave and take a leak and be back to your seats in time during a tv timeout because of the lower numbers. This will be nice.

Do they actually check parking passes? Going for the first time this year.

Yes they do and they scan them. Don't be the people in front of me a few weeks ago that couldn't figure it out.

It's weird going into the games and leaving the games. But the actual games are about the same.

I hope that it is back to normal next year, but I do enjoy the fact that from the time I got to my car and when I got to Huxley after the TT game, it took me 25 minutes.

Oh and another thing, I was a bit worried that all of us would be trying to get into the parking lots at the same time before the Oklahoma game and got there earlier than I would have. But both weeks I pretty much just pulled right into my parking spot.

It is glorious getting in and out of games. Plenty of noise to make it feel normal but obviously with much less people. Comfortable enough to spread out and enjoy without fear of knocking into someone. It's really quite nice. Lines for the water fountains (2) are insanely long. Pop line wasn't bad. Run up and Pee in the 4:30 tv timeouts we have and be back with a lot of time to spare.

I'm a tailgater... (not this year) but overall... I'm not missing it as much as I thought I would.

We arrived 30-45 min prior to the game each time and it only took 5 min to park and 5-10 min to walk in to our seats. The atmosphere has actually been really good since it’s mostly comprised of passionate fans. Plus My wife packed hotdogs (wrapped in foil), nachos and treats so overall great experience!

How much if I have your wife fix a couple dogs for me for tomorrow?

I have seen a couple people drive pickups and tailgate in the back.

And to be honest that kind of crap will only make it harder to have fans the rest of the way.

Not if it’s isolated and they aren’t jackasses about it but still. If that grows, they could pull the plug on fans which is exactly not what this team needs for the last two games with what could be at stake.

The game day atmosphere around JTS just feels weird with no buzz or tailgating going on. I cant wait to get back to those days as that is just part of the whole expirience as the game itself. It felt really weird parking then walking up to the gates with it being quiet then basically no lines to get in. Once the game gets going you get sucked into the action and dont notice the attendance so much.

She loves hosting / serving so Any other week it’d be $0 (we’d even bring them in a clear bag for you). Unfortunately we had to go out of town, so I’m afraid the delivery charge might be prohibitive!
