Oh no!

Team 7 got so close to the finish, but couldn't quite make it.



They were pacing really well too, with 3 early correct choices and a long stretch at 500 meters per minute on the straightaway.

Unfortunately, things just weren't meant to be for them.

Congratulations to one of the most unlikely tandems of Antarctica and Vanuatu!

I'm sure for 33 that was just like an everyday trip to the supply depot.

@cyclonespiker33 and I have been dreaming of the Vanuatu and Antarctica alliance for years.

Fun fact, the edge of Antarctica to edge of Vanuatu is about the same distance as NYC to London.

Team 8: @VeloClone (Djibouti) and @mdk2isu (New Zealand)

Whew! Team 8 built up some good speed out of the gates and maintained it juuuust long enough to make it to the end AND move into 3rd place. They crossed the finish line at a mere 100 meters per minute. Total time was 5 minutes and 9 seconds.
