2016 Rio Summer Olympics

Going to be in Brazil for work and debating on whether to go. They also have soccer in Sao Paulo which could be a good alternate.

Side note- anyone know where in Des Moines they sell Olympic gear? Scheels had a little selection but no smalls.
I picked up a decent t-shirt at TJ Maxx. American Flag and Olympic Rings on front, USA across shoulders $10

You'll only need:
  • American flag (to tie around your shoulders)
  • American flag bandana
  • American flag speedo
  • Crocs

Saw a snap chat today from a buddy of mine from HS that is in the olympic village right now. It looks very very nice and top notch. He didn't show any functionality of the shower/faucet/etc. but it at least looks the part of an Olympic village, and is completed, unlike other things down in Rio right now.

Saw that the US Men's basketball team is staying on a luxury cruise ship rather than in the Athlete's Village. Not out of the norm for them, but still interesting.

I saw that the other day. Not saying there aren't things wrong with it. But putting your own shower curtain together is not nearly as worrisome as an unfinished stadium for events..

I agree, I just think it is funny he is complaining so much.

I really love watching the swimming events, especially with Dan and Rowdy calling them. Love their calls.

Brazilians do not care for Hope Solo, boos and an impressively loud "zika" chant everytime she kicks the ball.
