*** #14 IOWA STATE vs Texas Tech Game(day) Thread ***

Every game is like this. Either ISU makes the plays down the stretch or the opponent does.

Pretty easy to get over this one...short handed, bad officiating taking points off the board and insane luck. Hopefully McKay gets on board and we're full strength between the ears when it matters.

This exact reason I have a bad feeling about the rest of the season. You can't help, as a team mate, but to have some bad blood against McKay, his ****** attitude cost us this game. I usually don't say anything negative about players, but that's just Bush league of him to put his teammates in this situation. His ****** attitude ****ed us. I hope I'm wrong, but this type of loss can really put us in a tailspin.

Should have won in regulation. Hate when we settle for a 3 when there is plenty of time to get a good shot to end the game or half.

Texas Tech WTF.... sorry folks, we show up part time. That's the MO of this team. It's why KU has won for so long and we underperform. You have to show up every freaking night. Shorthanded is an excuse. ISU is the better team even without McKay or Naz.

Really hope people don't blame this game on the refs, because that is definitely what lost this game.

As is usually the case with us, the loss was a combination of ISU making multiple terrible decisions PLUS the zebras suffering from a curious case of selective attention. If ISU makes one less terrible decision OR the refs make one less terrible call (hello goaltending) in regulation, ISU wins this game. Neither happened.

This season is close to entering train wreck territory. But at least we get to hear about how wonderful the Hawks are doing. Good for them.

What a disappointing season this is turning into. Texas won't be easy on Saturday folks. Might be doing it without McKay again.
