Let's just hire Loney as the interim head coach and wait until Swizzle-Stik gets bumped at Auburn... which should be about... now ... now... :jimlad:

So this is he last time I'll ask/metion it, Cubit from Western Michigan and Jones from Central Michigan aren't even a consideration huh?

Quite possible - no one seems to want to discuss them with you, and no one was discussing Chizik last time....

I, for one, was pretty disappointed when everyone thought it was Brian Kelly. I was also extremely excited when it was announced that Chizik was taking over.
:biglaugh:

Oh, wait...you were serious? Let's see where's the proven HC(Kelly) at now? Oh yea, a BCS bowl game with Cincinnati.

As for everyone saying it was a "great hire" that was after the signing. Nobody knew he was a candidate anywhere until after we made the mistake, then everyone said how his resume seemed too good to be here. NOBODY interviewed him outside of J-Pollard.

I don't like the Pat Hill idea just like I don't like the Chris Peterson. It's a different world on the other side of the Rockies and alot different recruiting circles... Niether haved coached on this side I beleive...

Fourth, as great as the Davis brothers were here at ISU, just how much of an impact did those offenses have at winning games? Based on the stats, we averaged 19.4 points per game in 1997, 20.1 points per game in 1998, and 22.5 points per game in 1999. For comparison's sake, this team averaged 25.3 points per game this year, and most people on this site would consider McFarland a less than average offensive coordinator.

The only problem with your numbers are that they don't include when Loney was actually at ISU:mask:

95 24ppg
96 28.5
97 19.5
00 28.5
01 25.5

This was a time where the Big 12 actually played defense and teams were not scoring 60 points every game.

Just for reference, the top team in the big 12 in 1995-1997 was less than 30 ppg.

It sounds like it doesn't matter because we have chosen a new coach.
