I would think that Zaga will try to go the UNI route and really make the game sloppy. A sloppy game favors Zaga where a fast game favors us.

They may be better than us. They can play any game. Should be fun!

I think ISU will do well against Gonzaga. We have the momentum post our decisive Miami victory. Gonzaga being big is not necessarily better. We've got the speed.

How do we have any more momentum than they do? They beat a far better team than we did.

Gonzaga fans on their boards do seem way over confident!
Cyclones, engage....

Many of the pundits predicted a Miami-Gonzaga match up in the championship game. I'm going to remain positive. I like being the underdog at this point. Until Gonzaga proves otherwise I think they are overrated.

Lots of people in WA are Seahawks football fans and Gonzaga basketball fans (Gonzaga is in Spokane). Since they are better than the Huskies and Cougars have been, that's the basketball they watch since the Sonics left.

Interesting post found on Gonzaga's forum:

"I feel confident we win game one and hopefully, we play Florida (Big-5 school) and have success in that game too! In the C/G my gut tells me we will play an under rated Iowa State team that has tons of quickness, with lots of skill. ISU might well have the best PG in the nation as he very seldom turns it over and has tons of confidence playing big games. They are a lot like the SDSU team that beat us at home a few years ago...I am hoping our depth provides us with the needed advantage...

The closer it gets to game time, the larger the margin of victory gets for them. Must be nice having legal weed.

They'll have to push the tempo and run those bigs off the floor. If they get caught up in a half court game they will get pounded on the glass. Deonte needs to have a big game.

I didn't realize Gonzaga is just a collection of top-notch transfers this year until today. They have tons of talent, but I think we'll beat them.

Washington has had some really good teams as of late, haven't they?
