I feel like Pluribus would be a hard show to binge. It's a show that benefited from weekly releases IMO because of the pacing. There's been a lot of talk online about how awful and slow the story has been, but I personally loved watching it. It's a good story to chew on and needs time to...
College football is a completely different beast than it was 10 years ago. When Matt was hired, there was no transfer portal, no NIL. Even though the gap existed between the Big Ten/SEC and everyone else, it's not as wide as it was today.
This has a different feel to it. We've been left in the...
I can’t decide if this is a horror or a comedy. The 2nd episode leans more into dark comedy, but the first episode had so many horrific yet hilarious moments. God I love this show already.
The best thing I’ve done for myself is learn to detach when a loss happens. I care deeply about ISU athletics and will follow them rain or shine, good or bad. But the last thing I’m going to do is perseverate over every loss. Celebrate the wins. Move on from the losses.
Agreed. Last year the walk from the 1-Day GA parking to the amphitheater was BRUTAL. I didn't realize they had chosen a completely new spot for the main stage this year, so I was getting ready for the long walk again when suddenly the entrance showed up. The new spot allows for a HUGE concourse...
Yes, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm was a great casting choice and she nailed it. Their dynamic also reminds me a lot of my wife and I... Reed's struggles between his logic and emotions was something that surprised me in the way I could identify with him. He loves his family first and foremost...
Exactly my thought. I remember wishing Downtown Ames was closer to campus, but not smooshed together like Iowa City is with the U of I. KU’s campus was the perfect distance from Mass St.
I really appreciated Lawrence when I first went there, but it was summer so it was a lot quieter than it would normally be. But even then, the vibe seemed really chill.
Iowa City isn’t as bad as people here say it is. Very similar to Lawrence. Gets a lot of undeserved hate. But I’m probably biased.
That's awesome, doesn't really look like it dropped off during the week, breaking $100mil in... what, 9 days? That's fantastic considering it opened at $45mil last weekend.
A moderate rating this early? It’s going to get there. It’ll probably be based on what the primary threat is. If a widespread tornado outbreak is expected, we might see High risk as far down as KC.
Yeah, they had a brief prologue voice-over that explained that music can at times attract evil spirits, which leads directly into the first scene showing Sammie after the events from the previous night dragging himself back to his dad’s church.
As commented earlier, machine learning has improved things like forecasting the conditions that form severe weather outbreaks further into the future. The frequency of these events is going to be a hotter topic to discuss, but I think at least the core of it is partially due to improved models.
