*** Official Texas Tech vs #11 IOWA STATE Game(Day) Thread ***

TL;DR It's from the movie Creed 2 Back in 2022 the night before the Tech game in Ames the team watched Creed 2. There is a workout montage of Creed, the boxer, stepping into the ring and the trainer, Rocky, throws down a tire, tells both fighters to step into the tire and don't step out until...

    What’s wrong with the offense?

You're not listening to what I'm saying. Every coach and fanbase in America would prefer to give up the "underneath stuff" and shut down the deep ball. Of all fans, I would think ISU fans would understand that the best because that's your entire football identity. THE reason Tech had the...

    What’s wrong with the offense?

If you've watched all of Tech's games then you would admit that the majority of Tech's explosive plays given up were given up by the backup CB Macho Stevenson, who didn't see the field today because Horn and Lux were finally both available and opponents couldn't just pick on the backup...

    What’s wrong with the offense?

You clearly didn't watch any of Tech's previous games. This was lock down in comparison. Go watch what TCU did to Tech's backup CB last week. Gave up 86 yard & 76 yard TD passes over the top. None of that happened today because it wasn't there vs. Tech's starters.

    What’s wrong with the offense?

Just FYI, this was the first game all season the Texas Tech secondary had all of their starters healthy and available to play the entire game. If you really watched them all season, it was the backups getting torched for big plays and the biggest reason for the terrible defensive stats.

    So, what about TT?

My expectations were absolutely met. This game was ugly. The Joey McGuire era of Texas Tech football is built different. This is the least talented team he'll ever have, but they're punching way above their weight class and never give up. The days of teams beating Texas Tech by 50+ are...

    So, what about TT?

Seemingly every Texas Tech season is about injuries and this one is no different. Starting QB Tyler Shough was injured in the 1st quarter of Tech's first game of the season and missed the next 6 games. He came in relief duty vs Baylor and TCU but looked very rusty. Then last week vs. Kansas...

    T Tech to hire,..........yawn, snore

McGuire was no stranger to Tech fans or really anyone who even remotely follows CFB. He was the key to Matt Rhule's success at Baylor, a big part of Aranda's success, Texas offered him a job, Oklahoma offered him a job, Kingsbury offered him a job, Matt Wells offered him a job. He was a highly...

*** Official IOWA STATE vs Texas Tech Game(Day) Thread ***

Logged on to post about the most horrific ref performance I've ever seen, the 8 reviews that all went one way, the 3 ISU TE catches that were covered up but allowed to stand including 7 points but I scrolled through all 126 pages of game threads and the Jennifer Love Hewitt gifs changed...

    Interim/New Coaches Coming Up

Agree, I'm actually excited about the new B12. Just tired of everything UT & OU. I want some new blood and different teams to have their time in the spotlight, instead of UT & OU all the time.

    Interim/New Coaches Coming Up

Tech looked solid until they lost the 4* starting QB in the 1st quarter of the Texas game. It was a "oh no here we go again" deal and the wheels completely fell off. The 2nd string QB rallied for a solid win in Morgantown but he got injured in Norman. Now for seemingly the 5th straight...

    Interim/New Coaches Coming Up

Tech fired a coach that had the 2nd worst conference winning % in the entire history of the program. With OU, ISU, OSU and Baylor left, that's about as loaded as any 4 game schedule you're going to find in the country. It was time to get a jump start on the coaching search. McGuire was...

Random ISU/Tech Notes (from a Tech fan)

Bowman didn't face Iowa State last season as he was once again injured, I posted his stats from two seasons ago in Ames earlier in this thread and they weren't great. 3 int's. We really don't know why Bowman has regressed so much from a promising start as a true freshman but the popular...

Random ISU/Tech Notes (from a Tech fan)

Pretty much nailed that. When Tech trotted Bowman out, I knew the game was already over. Tech wouldn't have won had Colombi started the entire game but I think it wouldn't have been as ugly. Yes, I know ISU was probably more lax on defense and probably had some backups in but the offense...

Random ISU/Tech Notes (from a Tech fan)

I think the only real hope Tech has is that Colombi(backup QB) starts and just clicks right away. Heacock's defense on the road in your first ever Big 12 start is a tough task to ask but I feel like I know how Bowman would perform against this defense because we've already seen it in 2018...

*** Official Texas Tech VS IOWA STATE Game(Day) Thread ***

If I hadn't seen thousands of Iowa State fans complaining about Big 12 refs over the years I wouldn't be on here doing it. I thought this was the one place in college football that some fan would admit when a Big 12 team was getting screwed over by Big 12 refs.

Simple "yes" or "no", did Texas Tech get screwed on any calls today?

Got it. Thank you for telling me everything I ever needed to know about Iowa State fans. I honestly used to respect y'all a ton up until today. Now I know that whenever a call goes against Iowa State every single Iowa State fan will step up and immediately admit that it wasn't the Big 12's...

So, every single call that went UT's way over the years was simply ISU being undisciplined or did ISU get screwed over some times???
