PODCAST: State of the Nation - Iowa State Football 2020

Thanks, guys. I think that Grant Treiber is a name that we'd be hearing a lot more about if Spring practice was opening today.

@ChrisMWilliams

I think you guys should wait on the basketball episode as absolutely long as you can.

It will be more interesting and edifying if you and Blum have a good idea of how spring recruiting went. Otherwise, it is kind of a rehash of the postmortem podcast from last week with Jared.

I would like to see them break down potential targets and if they have any information on guys that ISU has legitimate shots at...I'd like to hear blum's take as well.

Good podcast, thank you for posting. Nice to hear sports conversation.

I will challenge you guys on one point. You seemed to think no Spring practice helps ISU due to having a lot of returning impact players and one of the more veteran staffs in the league; I didn't think of it this way, but its a good point. However, I think you could also argue it hurts ISU. We are a developmental program; I think no Spring helps the programs with more 4 and 5 star prospects. Though when I think about it, Texas and Oklahoma are the two dominant programs in this conference when it comes to that metric, and then there is a drop-off. So perhaps it doesn't hurt us as much as I initially though?

Just thinking to myself out loud. I miss sports.
