Do you love tailgating, CycloneFanatic.com, and CF fundraising causes? I do, so I thought we should try to bring them all together in Orlando.

Look for our 40-foot flagpole in Lot 7 (just across the street from the southeast corner of the stadium). Thanks to @isufbcurt for hauling it to Orlando.

We are getting ribs, chicken, and sides from a nearby BBQ joint and will serve Blue Yummies (if not already sold out locally), water bottles, and Iowish Cream Liqueur.

The plan is to serve food at 10am on Saturday morning. Note that I’ve heard that the stadium concessions leave much to be desired.

Proceeds will be given to the Children’s Cancer Connection, this season’s CF charitable cause. https://cyclonefanatic.com/forum/th...make-a-difference-this-holiday-season.253734/

Please reply here (or send a PM) so that we know if we can make sure you get served (and order more food if needed).

Lot 7 is at the lower right of this photo.

We plan to be there when the lot opens at 7am. We won't have our full gear because we are flying down, so we won't have typical tailgate games, but we are bringing mini-jenga and coin hole toss. You can also stop by early for a Blue Yummie or Iowish Cream.

I'll ask these questions in the thread because even though they're dumb I'm guessing other people will ask them:

1 - When is the deadline to RSVP to get included in the food/beer count?

2 - Can others who don't RSVP come by and hang out?

Not dumb questions. Thanks for asking.

1. I'm placing an order on Thursday morning, but I can add to the order on Friday. So, let's say 5pm Friday evening. We may order extra because it seems likely that others will show up hungry. I just want to make sure that people who RSVP have food at 10am. If they don't show up by 10:30, I'll offer it to anyone.

2. Anyone can come and hang out. If we get the spot I want, it will be right across the street from the stadium with a gate that will allow us to spill around to the other side of the fence. We will post something about our specific location once we go into the lot at 7am.

Bump for the Thursday morning crowd.

12 of us from various parts of Cyclone Nation. Can't wait!

Hmmm. Before I add you to the list for food, I need to get past the fact that you are a brand new members of the site. Your account is set so that I can't send you a private message (conversation), so we'll have to interact here.

Is there a frequent poster on CycloneFanatic that can verify your Cyclone fandome? Or do you have a Facebook page that shows you in Cyclone gear? Can't be too careful these days with Iowish twolls, both kinds.

Send me a private message (conversation).

What is the cost per person?

I'm spending $10 to 15 per person for the 50 who have told me they are coming. I hope that since we are giving the proceeds to a charity that most folks would give at least in that range. However, I don't like to give a set price. If you just take a piece of Texas Toast and a Blue Yummy, then just throw in $1. If you take a full slab of ribs and two massive scoops of mac n cheese, then $25 would be appropriate. If times are tough and you are only able to come to the game because somebody helped you, then just come and don't worry about it.

We will have a Venmo for those who don't carry cash.

And if you want to give directly to the charity, whether you are coming to the tailgate or not, here is the link to the thread on Children’s Cancer Connection, this season’s CF charitable cause: https://cyclonefanatic.com/forum/th...make-a-difference-this-holiday-season.253734/
