In literally any sportI'm trying to imagine having one season with no injuries (nothing "significant," at least ... a game here or there for various players isn't anything unusual).

So he's limited to 4 seasons regardless of how he structures it?He’ll opt into the old rules now so I think can be eligible for future medical redshirts. But no 5 seasons of playing
Athletes are bigger, faster, quicker, stronger, etc. - and pushing the boundaries of training like never before. There must be something different about modern athletes because Achilles injuries used to be rare and usually happened to older players.
They're almost as common as ACL injuries now. Wonder what has changed?
And their muscles haven’t caught up.Athletes are bigger, faster, quicker, stronger, etc. - and pushing the boundaries of training like never before.
More like their tendons haven't caught up to their muscles. And their muscles haven’t caught up.
Well, ****. He was one of the freshmen that I thought had a good chance of contributing significantly this year.
Yes new rules are 5 years no matter what. No redshirts of any kind. Class of 27 has to be 5 for 5 no matter what. Class of 25 and before are all under old rules. Class of ‘26 has a choice of old rules or new. Since he’ll miss this season he’ll opt into old rules now just for more flexibilitySo he's limited to 4 seasons regardless of how he structures it?
I'm still getting a feel for the 5-rule, is it supposed to be limited to 5 consecutive seasons?
Google conspiracy theories with achilles. I'm sure there's something. There must be something different about modern athletes because Achilles injuries used to be rare and usually happened to older players.

Are you my wife?So it's your fault.
Yeah…it’s more the tendons/ligaments. It’s like when someone starts lifting consistently. If you try to add weight too soon, your muscles can handle it, but the connecting tissue can be a problem. That’s where most injuries occur. Loading before your tendons/ligaments are ready.More like their tendons haven't caught up to their muscles.
I also do not remember Achilles injuries being a thing 10+ years ago in college or pro athletes.
Speed of the game and so much more trainingThere must be something different about modern athletes because Achilles injuries used to be rare and usually happened to older players.

Correct, 5 seasons of eligibility from when you start or turn 19.So he's limited to 4 seasons regardless of how he structures it?
