I'm not a huge Craig fan, but when everyone is hitting .210, and you have the pitching issues the cubs do, I don't even know what he would do here.

The hitting was obviously an illusion. Nico was going to be the NL MVP. Ballesteros was hitting .400. Suzuki was rolling. Just wait til Bregman and PCA get hot!

well that hasn't aged well. now have 2 hits with runners in scoring position and back in the lead. Now if the pitching could hold up. And the comment about doing the same thing over and over and expect different results is what Bregman said in the locker room .

Of course you had to find a way to get a jab in at your favorite punching bag even after breaking a 10 game losing streak...

Was it a great start? No but given the state of the pitching staff right now you'll take 5 innings and 4 runs out of a guy that was supposed to be your 5th starter if everyone was healthy right now. Was enough to keep them in the game. Definitely a lot better than what Wicks gave them the other night. This is the last year of his contract. You'll get your wish soon enough

It only took 10 games to finally hit with runners in scoring position. Funny didn't even hear his interview. This team needs to start playing good baseball again and it starts with your veteran position players on this team.

My point was if he throws six scoreless I doubt we have a six run inning. Hopefully that’s the cog that gets our offense going.

you are right. veterans need to lead. Bergman gave the interview in the locker room before the game.
