The new documentary movie that dropped on Netflix today, The Crash, is nightmare fuel. A car carrying three teens slams into a brick wall at 100+ mph with zero braking, looking like a horrific accident. But investigators dig into the wreckage and a toxic, volatile relationship, and uncover a more sinister truth.

Several aspects of this are deeply disturbing. Beyond the physical brutality, the doc does a massive dive into the toxic social media culture surrounding the trial and the baffling, remorseless behavior of the family. It’s dark, frustrating, and incredibly tragic.

Will definitely check it out. I'm sure it'll anger me but there's no way this one will infuriate me at the level Dear Zachary did. Best documentary ever.

I know about this case awhile ago from podcast murder in america. I was just looking for something to watch and took it in not realizing till I saw on Wikipedia it that it dropped today.

I see from her appearance on this that was choreographed by her lawyers that she hasn't learned anything. Just an entitled brat.

Her mom's impact statement where she had nothing to say about the victims was something else. I can see why she's entitled.

I saw this story previously on a crime/forensic files TV program that gets recycled on 3rd tier cable channels. Pretty sad story, but only took an hour to tell and that was more than enough. Will be curious if this is 4 hour Netflix deal.

The story reminded me of a 2020's true-life version of the Mike Judge movie Idiocracy.

The defendant is gross.
I feel like the non-boyfriend victim didn't get enough of a backstory.

I'm shocked at the nonchalant attitude from the defendant's parents. They seem so gross too.
Stoner Dad and Mom who just wants to be the daughter's best friend (and most like was the exact same way growing up).

This wife watched it she said her dad comes off as completely clueless or in total denial of the monster they helped create.

Yeah those parents seem TERRIBLE.
Glad the judge could see it too.

they're awful parents all the way around.

they're the type of parents that want to be friends with their kids, not parents. just clueless.

She is guilty as far as I am concerned. The parents are just terrible parents. Talking about their daughter the way they do is crazy. Then the way she was doing her statement in court was crazy. Glad the judge spoke up. Felt bad for the kid in the backseat and the way he is just kind of ignored in all of this.

I 100% think she's guilty. Just a POS family all around in my opinion. I was already convinced she was guilty but then that whole Halloween costume bullsh!t three months after the crash? Nah. No normal or innocent person does that ****.

We watched it Friday, crazy story. I was surprised they decided against a jury trial, figured it'd be easier to plant reasonable doubt seeds in sympathetic jurors than a judge, but maybe not.

Stupid on her friends too.

Yeah her friend basically sunk herself for no reason. She would not talk to the prosecutor but had no problem getting paid by Netflix. Heard she basically had to take down all of her social media because she was getting raked so bad. Which btw she deserved to be raked. Let me stand up for a girl I won't hang out with again even though she is really guilty seems like a bad move. Just stfu and get new friends girl.
