NBA: *** 2025-26 NBA Thread ***

Clippers receive:
- 5th pick in the 2026 NBA draft
- Unprotected 2029 FRP
- 2028 SRP
- Bennedict Mathurin
- Isaiah Jackson

Pacers receive:
- Ivica Zubac
- Kobe Brown

unless they changed the details, the first round pick was for 2031 if the 2026 was top 4 and they get that back since the 2026 pick went to LAC. This was a terrible trade at the time and even worse in hindsight. Nobody was offering anything near this for a center who hasn’t been close an all star and almost 30.
Damn I didn’t realize the Pacers threw in their 2029 first round pick unprotected as well. Essentially cost them 2 firsts for Zubac. And one was a top-5 pick.

I would say Zubac is a top 10 C in the league though. Worth a 1 first rounder imo. And Mathurin stinks. He’s living off a couple good playoff games last year. He’s not even going to be on the Clippers next year.

This SAS vs Minnesota game is one of those that I just can’t figure out what a foul is. Guys are getting clobbered with no calls and then you get calls on light contact on a layup.

Add in the ejection of Wenby and this one’s getting pretty heated and there will be more flagrants if they continue to let so much contact go uncalled.

It’s been wild all series but especially tonight. Entertaining though, and we need it with all the other duds this round.

Wemby doing his best Artest impression

Ant was FANTASTIC tonight.
Fun series!
I didn't get to watch tonight but feels like this might be the best series we get in the playoffs. OKC seems inevitable for the title at this point. Spurs-Wolves is starting to have some fireworks. Wemby and Ant are very watchable in general, so adding the playoff spice is nice.

Any guesses on who is coming out of the East? Seems like Knicks are building some momentum. I haven't watched as many games as usual but it seems like Detroit and Cleveland are struggling with consistency.

I like Knicks playing for title.

I'm not necessarily a Knicks fan but I would root for them vs OKC. Basically just to back the underdog. And Brunson/Hart seem like dudes who work hard and enjoy the game. As opposed to Harden. When things got hard for him, he went to a strip club and gained weight. Being able to respond to challenges that way just makes fans jealous.

The Knicks are on a mission. I am not sure if they will lose again in the ECF.

It's the Knicks. I have all the confidence in the world that they'll find a way to lose in the ECF yet again. Regardless though, it seems like everyone's playing for second right now.

Spurs are the only real threat to OKC because of Wemby and their success against OKC this year, but they might find a way to lose to Minnesota at this rate.

Assuming Wemby doesn’t face any further suspension (there’s no way the league sits their future star), I think it’s Spurs in 7 against Minnesota. I think SA matches up well against OKC, but I think the extra games this round will wear out SA.

Not shocked. If Wemby had a history of dirty plays, this may had been different. But that was a clear, intentional elbow by Wemby. Hope he learns from this. The league can't afford their star players to make dirty plays like this; it's not great for their brand
