Iowa State Rugby team is in the national semi-final, Friday at 11:00am. If they win, championship is Sunday, at 12:30. Games are in Indianapolis. Iowa State finished 2nd in 2023 and 2024 and 3rd in 2025. Hopefully, they break through this year.

Wish they'd get rid of that awful bugle logo in their crest, though. I cringe everytime I see that abomination of a logo. (And wasn't it a Campbell thing?) I think ISU should officially retire it forever!

But then realized it was the ISU Lacrosse Club that had its travel privileges suspended for parking a university vehicle outside a dispensary in Colorado a few years back.

There was a girl a year behind me in high school with that last name. The new teacher hesitation when trying to pronounce it for the first time was always fun.
Many years ago I played on a club team out of Iowa Falls. Really fun game. Football skills apply but you have to shake some football instincts.
The coach is really good. He keeps it fun, but is very driven. The B team beat Kansas’s A team last week. They run plays like a professional team, and several alumni are current or former professional pro rugby players. They actively recruit the state for new talent and it is done all on donations or club budget, just like baseball.
Iowa State is the favorite to win and has been very dominant for most of the season. They lost one game early in the season, but got it back in the conference championship.
CW should be hyping these guys . . . . they just don't get the tip of the T, They have the whole thing.
Anytime we beat ASU is a good time to me. Let's go boys. This thing televised anywhere? And can I bet on it
