Hope I don’t eat crow after this but I really like the makeup of Riley Martin. If he could work his way into being a SP, what a massive win
PCA just threw a bomb to almost get a runner at third tagging up. I mean it was an A+ Bo Jackson throw.
I know that the review showed he was safe, but that throw should send a loud message to anyone trying to tag up like that in the future. Beware. It honestly looked like he was out before the review.
And it wasn't a running start either, he was kind of close to warning track fading.
It was an ELITE attempt.
Thought if Bregman brings the tag to the base, the runner would have been out.

I said it last year and I will say it again. Nico Hoerner is my favorite player on this team by a wide margin. Damn Good Ball Player.
People **** on Shota but he’s been pretty good so far this year.

Shota pitched like an ace again tonight. Offense has been amazing all series. Would love to see Brown get the three inning save tonight.

Shota was decent last year until he got hurt. I don’t think he was healthy the rest of the year an why his numbers were so bad.
Best all around player on the team for several years now. Does everything right.
I was saying it all last season he was the best player on the roster and would love for the Cubs to lock him up with an extension. Was so happy when they did sign him to an extension as I thought for sure he would test the free agent marker and the Cubs would be too cheap knowing they had Shaw on the cheap to replace him.
Shaw is heating up. I’m starting to wonder if he might be a sell high candidate.
