2nd round picks can negotiate their contracts and if the team is willing get guaranteed money/roster spot which can be promised prior to the draft. The AJ Green situation that TJ is preparing to avoid. The money Milan could get in NIL is different now than at that time so exactly the same. Milian has options and I understand him wanting to have the information before making that decision. Issue is the portal waits for no one.
Many do though. Last year only 6 of the 29 second-round picks did not sign a guaranteed contract.

Except now the money these players make on 2 way deals is dwarfed by some of these NIL deals in college. During the AJ green situation, the money was much different

Yeah, they can negotiate a guaranteed contract. No argument here. Undrafted guys can do that too. I'm saying, by being picked in the 1st round, you are automatically guaranteed a contract for a certain amount of $$. No negotiating required. That's not the case for 2nd round picks.
Unless they play at a low level where you’d call their court a gym rather than an arena.
