No matter the ISU sport, 2-5ish minutes into a game, doom n gloom.
Early post in today's game included "...embarrassing..."
More embarrassing?
Morons, that make conclusions, mere minutes into a game.

So many times in football first drives are successful because the offensive coordinator and his staff had figured things out as to how they can take advantage of other teams defense. But then after that opening drive the defensive coaches figures out what they were doing and they adjust and take those things away from them. Happens a lot.

Maybe my most unpopular opinion: One of the most tiresome things on CF are the posts from people who get worked up after a win because people pointed out in real time, when the team was playing poorly, that the team was playing poorly. None of them, that I have seen, are ever in these game threads contradicting these opinions at the time, only afterward, pointing out how much better a fan they are. It strikes me as a kind of peacocking thing, but who knows.

Game threads are a roller coaster and you have to be at least this tall to ride. Personally I love em.

I will always make fun of people melting down in the first 5 minutes of a 40 minute game and I will not accept any criticism about it.

I rewatched the game last night, and like Coach K, I was super impressed with Otz's interview when ISU was down 20-9. He was so composed.

It's clear that it's a cold calculation in his mind. This defense is going to give up some open shots, but he's betting that they can get more than enough turnovers and open shots on our end to make up for it. Plus, when they're going their job, the other team is so out of rhythm that they start to rush and/or miss their open ones.

The Kentucky *** behind me was screaming & overly-imitating a "flop" on that play. He yelled "he's the best shooter in the country & he flops". He continued to yell "foul" on every touch ( while ISU players were playing defense) on their offensive possessions. (Until of course, no one gave him any attention & he left the area as ISU continued to increase the lead). It was glorious!

For me, this was the play of the game, and I can’t stop watching it. The steal on the defensive end, and the Tamin sees how the play sets up for Milan as they come down the floor and waves Heise away. Watching this live, you KNEW this one was going in.

TJ and staff schooled Pope and his overpaid players on what relentless defense looks like.

Tamin, Toure, Heise, and Buchanan said ‘Not today.’

ISU has the best defense in the conference, with Houston being second. Defense wins championships, and no one coaches defense better than T.J. Otzelberger. I keep telling people out here he's the second coming of Bobby Knight, except he doesn't swear as much.
