Are you finally settled that Campbell is our “forever coach”?

Is Campbell ISU’s forever coach?

Feels fitting after beating KSU as we often say “our Bill Snyder”. But I also just saw again the Purdy interview on Bussin w the Boys.

Given Matt’s contract extension, you feel comfortable that he’s our guy for the long long-term? Or is there going to continue to be rumors that keep you up?

I think he's here at least as long as Pollard is.

If I had to guess, Matt loves being (as far as we know, anyway) the CEO in total control. His wish is the AD's command for football and he has complete control, then add it to how long of a leash he has being here. We can tolerate a few down seasons far better than most fanbases. He's on a statue path for us already. Not all places will afford him those luxuries -- I think the CEO control side is part of what kept him out of the NFL, too.

I hope he's in the Snyder/Beamer tier of lifers, he gets it and knows what it takes to put a winning team out there for ISU. We'll see how changes to NIL world and conferences continue to affect us, but as of this moment, we're in a great place and Matt put us there.

I forget how weird some of you guys are sometimes.

He makes plenty of money, the entire fan base loves and trusts him, he is literally the best coach we've ever had. That's a great place to be in, as opposed to other teams where not continuously winning the CFP is failure

I am often chastised by my family for the colors and color combinations I wear.

I have the CMC color black presser moment saved on my phone home page now. I am trying to get it play through Alexa speakers. That was Johnny Orr'esque
Where did you find the audio?

This. However, I think JPs retirement is coming sooner than later. The next president needs to be ready for this.

I think there's maybe 4 schools that could take him away...let's hope they never offer. Notre Dame, Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State. Even in those situations...they'd need to have the kind of AD who'd give him great latitude to run their programs.

1. I think the question was less about "he's going to leave" and more about are we finally going to believe he wants to be here.

2. The comments about Pollard are funny because every time there are job openings and opposing fan bases are sure that they are talking to Pollard (last year North Carolina) we have insiders come on here and say things like "Campbell and Pollard don't get along as well as they used to" and they imply that part of the reason Campbell might look for another job.

3. I think Blum is as right as anyone when he says that Campbell will probably be here as long as he thinks he has a decent playing field NIL-wise. I don't think we need Texas Tech money, but we do need to compete.

4. We are INCREDIBLY LUCKY. I can't even imagine what would have happened to us if we had to navigate this mess with either a bad coach or a revolving door of coaches who left for better jobs. I hope we have another 10 years of this.
