'People are flat-out slobs': Jamie Pollard

If somebody is looking to get loaded, they aren't going to do it on $12 tall boys...
You’re telling me an alcoholic is going to get alcohol even if a venue doesn’t sell it? Color me shocked.

I went to St. Louis this past weekend for a Cardinals game, and it was mind blowing how easy and efficient the concession stands were. They had a bunch of hot dogs and other things ready, and all you had to do was walk up, grab what you wanted, and then go to the cashier to pay for it. It was so fast there was basically no line. It would be awesome if JTS could do the same.
Pretty sure they are already doing that at JTS.

How much would selling beer throughout the stadium hurt Sukup numbers? Right now those seats alone bring about $3million not counting required donation.
Not saying everyone would stop buying those seats but that is one of the main perks. You're not going to get those prices without major perks.
I think part of not selling to general tickets is protecting that revenue stream.

Climate controlled space is the seller there, not access to alcohol.

Their numbers would not hurt at all.

I agree, the school needs to look into it and I'm sure they are. But if Beggers can't be choosers- are fans fine when suddenly they are deprived of their historical trend to pound 3 quick $0.83 Busch Lights at their own tail gate at halftime and instead are now locked in the stadium and forced to buy $10 Busch Lights in the concourse. Because just a heads up- if JTS starts selling alcohol the first thing shut down the ability to exit and reenter.
As it should be. Been to dozens of sporting venues around the country and have yet to find a place that matches ISU allowing such a relaxed reentry policy.

Most say you leave you cannot come back

I am sure some others exist, but most don't offer the ISU reentry policy

Surely some sit there primarily for the alcohol, it's not like everyone has the same wants. You could still save more premium options for the SEZ club though, craft beer, full bar, wine, etc. only in the SEZ.

I think you would lose a few, but being able to get out of the sun, cold or rain, better food options and easier access to the RR for many is as large of a factor as getting to purchase alcohol.

have you seen the stands down there when its 900F out???
Well yeah, who wouldn't get out of the weather if that option is available.
But once you go inside, you really can't "watch" the game but you are now basically in a bar.
It's an awesome setup and I've sat there a few times but I get my season tickets to watch the games and my seat views are way better than anything in the Sukup.
I think general sales would hurt things unless you could somehow make it even more premium that what it is.
