No love for water crackers??? Pair great with some wine and cheese.
That's a cookie, all animal crackers are. Similar to Subway bread not being called bread in Ireland because it has too much sugar.
Cracked pepper and olive oil Triscuits baked with shredded mozzerella and a cherry tomato slice on top; add a basil leaf and you have a great munchable to go with your Friday night home movie popcorn.

To answer the question asked: I am a man who believes that variety is the spice of life. Why do we have to have just one.
For most creamy soups, tomato soup, and chili I prefer crushed saltines but will settle for oyster crackers.
For potato soup or oyster stew I prefer oyster crackers but saltines will do.
I prefer a ritz, club, or townhouse for most meat and cheese tray type stuff or pickled herring.
For the port wine cheese spread it is best on a wheat thin.
Those hexagonal multigrain crackers for hummus.
Gotta be a ritz for the chocolate dipped peanut butter sandwich treats. For some reason they have to be round.
I'll snack on others randomly like the white cheddar cheezits or the spicy jalapeno snap'd (where did they go?)
I'm sure I am forgetting something important.

saltines because I am a grown man. if you're eating flavored crackers you're a child. just eat chips, they're far superior.
I will accept Ritz as an answer as well as they are mostly flavor neutral.
