Check around with the level of push back the SEC has gotten and how much joy people took in their fall last couple years. Obv I have a bias but I think you really underestimate the SEC hate.
I am referencing the composite of the six BCS computer rankings which can serve as a sanity check to what the Committee does. Below is the Top 25 of the composite ranking as of last December after the CCGs were played (CFP rank in parentheses)

Agree. But there are a lot of programs in the B1G and SEC who, if they finish 9-3, ESPN will shill for over a 2-loss Big 12 team.

I mean the SEC just focuses on Bama and Georgia so it’s kinda the same thing but I get your point. Since the playoffs started they still have 6 nattys, double the big ten and triple the ACC so the point stands.
Sure they influence the Committee to some extent and they reference various computer rankings available to help formulate their rankings although they don't publicly acknowledge how so. And that is reflected in the alignment (with the notable exception of ASU/Boise) between the final Committee rankings and the composite rankings I previously posted.
All of this. B1G has been better for going on 3 years now.
They did it for money, not out of the goodness of their hearts. Someday it’s going to be 12 conference games (or 10 with the other 2 being some sort of scheduling agreement with the SEC) and it’s going to be because the TV partners offer to pay more for that.

Both conferences are more than welcome to accept less money and go back to 8 games. If they're not willing to do that quit complaining.
Looking at your past posts on playoff format you seem to advocate for the 5+11 but also don’t seem to care that conferences play a different amount of conference/power 4 games which gives an advantage to certain teams and skews data points when selecting said teams.
Let me know what's stopping the Big 12 and Big 10 from going back to 8 games, which is entirely within the rules of the system we currently have
