Speaking of soybeans, anyone have some favorite bean varieties to deal with IDC? Our soils are almost all prone to it at least in some portion of the field. Thinking next year I might want to go harder into IDC tolerance than I have been so far.

is IDC your biggest issue in beans?

every year?

20Z14E and 27Z41E are rated a 7 on IDC. The 20 look really good in some hot spots around here. Also VRS has helped improve some beans on IDC.

Can confirm P20Z14E is excellent for IDC prone environments

Ours was signed the 2nd week of May.
Mine were bids and are dependent on federal cutoff numbers. Bid applications closed on June 6th. Now I’m not so worried.

I don’t want to have to find a tenant and it’s too far from my home farm for my custom guys

I don't have as long of track record as some, it's my 4th year farming in earnest but I'd call it the most consistent one at the very least. Combination of high soil ph and some poorly drained soil means it'll rear its head in parts of fields every year.

Got verbal confirmation today. Big relief. 15 year contract so that it becomes my estate’s problem

Primarily GLS. Thankfully, it’s controlled pretty well with most of the fungicides. Tar spot is still a couple counties away from us.

What area are you? I been around most of NC Iowa and there is nothing out there as of last week. Same story for everyone I’ve talked to in the area also.
Pottawattamie County(SW IA). Was up in Minneapolis last weekend & id say we’re 7-10 days ahead of NC IA. Pretty much done pollinating here.

Very little spraying going on here as of yet. Many are still doing the math of current commodity prices and federal crop insurance verses adding more input cost

Fair amount here when things have been dry but based on my scouting and talking to the local agronomists it's the guys who are going to spray no matter what things look like.
