I must have missed it, but what’s the expectation for Paniro now that Zerban is here? They just wrestle off and the best man gets the spot?
I am not sure what weight Paniro is going, but whether it is 149 or 157, I am guessing they will use wrestle offs and tournaments to decide who the guy is. However, you will also have to weigh the fact that the other guys competing at the weights have proven they can AA in March and Paniro has not.

It’ll be interesting to see that dynamic play out. Zerban I feel will be the guy
Thanks. I thought these things, but wasn’t sure if I missed anything.

Nothing to get too excited about. There are levels to this. Nothing against Castillo either.
I'll be the first to admit I'm not the most knowledgeable on either of these wrestlers, but even if Poulin takes care of him handily as you imply I'm still going to be excited to see how the star of that recruiting class looks against top notch competition.

Honestly I'd love nothing more then to see Paniro just go balls out this year and finally do what he is capable of doing.... But I'm not going to hold my breath the same way I didn't hold my breath with Kysen

I don't see Paniro beating Frost at 149. And Paniro struggles with finishing and Zerban is so funky and so hard to finish on so that's a terrible match up for Paniro

From what we've seen from Paniro, I don't disagree. It's a big summer for him to develop and take the next step, and he will have to if he wants to make the lineup.

Johnson and Frost is a pretty cool matchup to me, such different styles. I could quite easily see Johnson beating Frost, but I would also bet Frost would have a better March regardless of that wrestle off outcome. I have to think that's something the coaches will have on their minds as well.

could we see a situation similar to Redding while team was 100% healthy , the room has improved and Paniro like Redding was just on outside looking in at this point

I think Frost will beat him but agree if he doesn't I don't see it mattering much. How you compete against the competition is what matters. Your teammates aren't competing against you in duals, tournaments and NCAAs
