I wonder how many game winners an average NBA player (someone who averages a significant number of minutes per game) makes in a year? It can't be that many. And, yet Tyrese is out here making basically 4 in the playoffs alone.

I will never be great enough at anything to know what it must feel like. I'd love to know.

Not a stat on how many there are in a year, but for these playoffs:

I feel asleep so missed it but that's great stuff for Hali to keep going at it.

This Pacers team might just pull it off or at least push it to a few games.

Not going away last night was impressive considering how things were going.

Look where Tyrese released his jumper. No defender on the "greatest defensive team in history of universe" even close to it. View attachment 150718

His shot is not as "quirky" as people think, that thing is going in FREQUENTLY.
his game is similar to a dominant fastball/changeup pitcher. he plays at different speeds depending on the situation and uses misdirection so well. you have to do a lot of guessing when playing against him and you are going to look silly when guessing wrong.

Not only speed but also on and off ball.
I actually wish the Pacers would start with more off ball, and do more high arc screens for him because it can really create an interior lob in addition to a shot against a mismatched perimeter defender.

Really, really easy for me to say and its obvious Carlisle has faith in Tyrese to create on his own.

Indiana didn't play well at all and still won. Many of the "experts" thought Indiana had to play nearly perfect to win.

While Hali's last shot will get all the pub (deservingly so), Nembhard's ISO against SGA for the 3 with 2 mins left was an insane shot. Helps so much that the Pacers actually have a bench.

Also noteworthy the D on SGA their last two possessions. He drove and got his shot blocked on the second to last. Then he got stonewalled by Nembhard (I think?) in the final possession and bricked a tough turnaround midrange fadeaway

Nembhard was a stud in the game. Him and toppin to me were the reason the pacers were in it at the end

Nembhard wasn't taking SGA's **** either. Now, SGA is really, really good but Nembhard would push back.
Both on the Canadian team, so they know how to play each other. Nembhard wouldn't have pulled that if he didn't IMO.

How about that banked-in “no call” 3 by the Pacers 7 footer in the last minute? That said luck to me and it had to get in OKC’s head.

I think statistically it has been proven that bench/role players don't play as well on the road in the playoffs. Those guys won it for the Pacers in that game. Would assume there is some drop off in the next game for them but if they can be anywhere near that level it changes the series.
