NBA: *** 2024 NBA thread ***

Nembhard really should have gotten more buzz for most improved player. He is a total all around player now, still a great shooter/defender but another steady point guard on the court with Tyrese.

He is making life HARD on Brunson.

I haven’t followed the NBA this season until now. I know OKC is good and has this years MVP, but how big of an undergo would the pacers be against them?

There's nowhere to hide a defensive turd of a guard (Brunson) against this Pacer team. Even when McConnell comes in he just wears you out whether he's having a good game or not because he plays 1000 mph.

The Knicks are solid on defense (Brunson and Kat aren't good but everybody else is solid) but OKC is ELITE defensively and then has the best offensive scorer and probably #2 player in the world.

So likely looking at a 4-1 or 4-2 series unless Pacers play out of their minds?

Glad to see Indy is closing it out but we are 4 min and change from end of an era. TnT launched in 88 and nba on tnt started a year later.

I know the studio crew is moving so we keep that but sad to see a network that has been so dedicated to the league not have games anymore hurts.

But side note glad it's returning to NBC. NBC shouldn't of let the nba go in the first place.

I'll miss the NCAA tourney stuff a lot.

OKC has a lot of depth.
I know we're all rooting for the Pacers but OKC is REALLY good.

They are a fun team to watch and no egos. I like that they do post-game interviews as a team.

Definitely rooting for Indy but if it goes the other way I can live with it too.

It was basically my late night talk show half the year for my entire adult life and I'm getting into late 40s.

Hopefully ESPN learns there's a better way, you can have brilliant likable personalities instead of loud a-holes.

The pacers have a lot of depth too.

Both teams want transition basketball. It will be a really interesting series.

OKC usually overwhelms teams with its depth, pace, and defensive intensity. And their free throw merchant steals points for them all game.
