*** Official 2025 Chicago Cubs Thread***

I figured Happ was just getting a day off. Something else going on?

Happ will miss a second straight start due to oblique discomfort, which he experienced during a swing in his first at-bat of Friday's 7-2 loss. The Cubs are viewing Happ as day-to-day and have been labeling his absence as precautionary, but it's unclear if he'll be available for the start of the team's three-game series with the Marlins that begins Monday. Pete Crow-Armstrong will get another look out of the leadoff spot while Happ sits Sunday.

Have to laugh about the Devers rumors. Yeah let’s trade the best of our farm system for a guy with a $300 mil contract that told the Sox he refuses to play anywhere but third. The acquisition would kill hope of resigning Tucker and add a me first guy to the clubhouse .

Cubs offense was going to regress some but they seem to be in a bit of a funk at the moment.

I think eventually we’ll see PCA and Seya flipping back and forth at the 3 and 4. The Busch and Shaw doing the same at 5,6. Happ’s command of the zone just makes his so good leading off.

Pressly be like..."I can do that....let me pitch."
Hodge being over used? Feels like he's pitched a lot lately.

That's another one of my worries is we are going to burn this bullpen out by the end of the season. They aren't good to begin with long besides being used too much.

Pete has to get better command of the strike zone before he’s a 1-4 guy. Leads MLB in chase outside the strike zone. He’s basically Javy right now.

I hate the Mets.
