Easter Candy

What’s your go to for filling Easter baskets? Seems the variety has taken a hit with Cadbury and Reeces taking over the shelves.

Also, whatever happened to Crunch eggs? Those were the best and I couldn’t find them anymore. And while I do not miss them at all, circus peanuts were always tied to Easter and I don’t recall seeing them on the shelves this year.

I always liked the chocolate covered marshmallow half eggs actually came in a egg carton. A couple of years ago they seemed to have disappeared.

I got them at both Walgreens and Hy-Vee this year!

I know a couple of years back they discontinued the butterfinger and crunch bells at Christmas. I was devastated. Probably did the same with the eggs.

Just got me a one pound Reese's Easter bunny. It has an amazing peanut butter to chocolate ratio!

The key to Easter candy is hitting the clearance sale on the right day.

Tomorrow is too soon, late next week desperation pricing sets in, the week after it’s too far gone.

Winner. Whether "whoppers" brand, Brachs, or just the store brand that was probably leftover from 2012, these are the best uniquely Easter candy.

Hershey’s Eggs, Starburst Jelly Beans, Reeses and Little Debbie Easter Baskets (yes, I know it’s not a candy but still a good snack). I haven’t seen the Crunch Eggs in a couple of years, but those were one I looked forward to, along with the Crunch Hearts for Valentines Day
