Lol, yeah I'm sure if CC opted for a team chock full of top-50 players she probably wouldn't have won one. That has to be a fairly unusual stat.
Nice to see the plucky upstart program eke out a W.Finally UConn WBB catches a break
Way-Too-Early Pre-Season #13 for ISU, with rivals Baylor a couple spots in front and EIU a couple spots behind.![]()
Women's NCAA basketball Way-Too-Early Top 25: Who is No. 1?
As this season's title is won, we take a look at the women's college basketball Way-Too-Early Top 25 for 2025-26.www.espn.com
I would like to start the season ranked. Teams seem to get a lot of leeway and positive seeding momentum starting ranked rather than playing their way in and the goal should be a top 16 seed for the tourney.![]()

I'd be good with us in the top 20. That's more than we showed last yr, but is giving us credit for hopefully improving on the off season.Way-Too-Early Pre-Season #13 for ISU, with rivals Baylor a couple spots in front and EIU a couple spots behind.
Apparently Charlie Creme is a bigger fan of Nicki Collen than this board - she's losing four of her top six players and he puts Baylor at pre-season #9. Littlepage-Buggs is excellent and Bella Fontleroy is the my new favorite to root against, but that's much production to replace.
You would expect the team to be ranked based on key players returning. Depending on who Baylor and OSU bring in we should be in a good position to challenge for the title.I'd be good with us in the top 20. Uh oh - the faithful here at CF aren’t going to like this! Here's another way too early one from The Athletic/NY Times. ISU at #13, no Baylor at all and KSU is ranked for some reason. Iowa at #14, which seems pretty optimistic. And, holy smokes, they have my Gophers at #16. It's a pretty wild list, they drop USC completely out of the Top 25.

Women’s college basketball 2025-26 too-early power ranking: UConn looks like favorite again
Where's South Carolina ranked? Does Notre Dame make the top 25?www.nytimes.com
I consider myself part of the faithful and that statement does not bother me at all. That is right on about this team as we have strength in areas and parts we need to work on. Plus I don't have an axe to grind on with our coach so I can look at the team objectively.Uh oh - the faithful here at CF aren’t going to like this!
“Iowa State was the young team last season, and we just can’t quit the potential of Audi Crooks and Addy Brown. The Cyclones’ ceiling is still probably limited by Crooks’ defense, but to start the year, there is too much continuity and talent to leave Iowa State out of the top 15.”
I may have to join you on the Gopher bandwagon. I have two young grandchildren in Owatonna and my wife will not be denied - we will likely again own real estate in MN before the end of Summer! I’m shopping for a D3 school to get behind when I retire in a couple years - who’s the ISU equivalent in the MIAC? St. Olaf? Augsburg? Gustavus?
Still think ISU needs to add one more starter from the portal to take that next step.
You're not even close to objective when it comes to CBF, but this isn't the place to discuss it since this is a "Not Team Cyclones" thread. If you want to start a CBF pro's and con's thread as an off-season diversion, I'd participate so long as it stayed civil.Plus I don't have an axe to grind on with our coach so I can look at the team objectively.
And you know this because? Since you are not a close friend to me or my family you have NO idea about my objectivity. What I don't do is trash players and coaches like some on here do.You're not even close to objective when it comes to CBF, but this isn't the place to discuss it since this is a "Not Team Cyclones" thread.
