Seems to me the low and mid major players have a lot more motivation to do well in the tourney because they basically are on a salary drive.

How the heck did McCollum stay at NW Missery St. For 15 seasons with the success he had?
Apparently, he doesn't like to move around very much. I guess he could consider going to Iowa as that would be the last place he'd ever coach. :)

Why? Most thought they would get blown out tonight. Drake is plenty capable of beating Tech. Even if they lose by 15, nobody will care.
I didn't think they would get blown out, they are a well coached good def team. But Mizzou has been really up and down, and they play a style that can be exploited by Drake. Tech is just way better than Mizzou.

Drake put on a clinic except the free-throw segment. Mccollum vs Gates was a guy who can coach vs the guy who can recruit but not coach.

This. If he wants to stay in the state and take over a team he grew up cheering, then they do have that edge. However, he's going to have a lot of good offers once Drake loses.
