Maybe, but they always have a guy like Forbes that would take it
Multiple Iowans are legit candidates, which is helping them
What’s the top end for Forbes at Iowa? Doesn’t seem that high.

the only thing it has going to it is that it is a big 10 coaching job. thats it. once you look passed that you realize you are a bottom tier big 10 job in iowa city iowa, with little NIL and **** fan support. its not a good job for any up and coming coach who wants to build something. its a job for a washed out 60 year old coach to milk the remaining days in his career. i can't wait for them to hire Bruce Weber away from the big 10 network.I don’t think even we as ISU fans appreciate how terrible the Iowa job is and how poorly it’s looked at from the outside. Their own fans are absolutely jaded (surprise).
BM at WVU is much better fit than at Iowa.DeVries at IU and McCollum at WV both feel like really good fits to me.

And Fran replacing Prohm at Murray State would be the cherry on top.Ideal scenario:
DeVries to IU
McCollum to WV
Next Iowa coach flames out
Fran remains Iowa’s best coach of the 21st century for the foreseeable future.
Seems like the angle that they're taking is "NOW we'll support the new coach, we just weren't supporting the old coach because we didn't like him".The Iowa job is just so bad right now. The new coach doesn't just have to focus on building a team, they also have to get donors to contribute to actually contribute to NIL and get the fans to reengage. That is a huge job to take on.
I can easily see Prohm getting the Hok job. He is familiar with the state, so that's a plus.

This is why I wouldn't be shocked for McCollum to turn them down.
I think he's very methodical when deciding.
that fan bases identity is shitting on their coaches. half of them hate KF and he is a hall of famer and the best football coach they have ever had. that has to be a known in coaching circles.Seems like the angle that they're taking is "NOW we'll support the new coach, we just weren't supporting the old coach because we didn't like him".
That's not a great selling point as you are advertising that your fans will abandon the new coach too if he doesn't meet their expectations.
I'm giving you a winner for mentioning Waubeek.
Jans is a tough one for a strong female AD.Jans or Forbes. Calling my shot.
DeVries leaves for IU
McCollum leaves for WVU
Drake hires JR Blount.
When JP Retires, Hardin is the next ISU AD.
