I disagree. Announcing a guy is unavailable for the tournament seems rare, but I'm blanking on starters for teams that made the second weekend and beyond who were out a game or two, came back, then finished the tournament. Guys playing hurt, being day to day multiple games? Sure. But I'd bet the vast majority played the first game. Those situations are a matter of how many minutes they can play as their teams advance, not "They've been out for essentially the last three games and may not even suit up." I understand the argument that ISU could've announced he's out 30 minutes before every game, I just don't know what purpose that would've served. adds maybe 15 minutes to opponents' scoutThat’s the thing, it’s an experiment because nobody does the second one. It’s not a thing.
Really has this been confirmed?So..he's not traveling with the team? Is that correct? If so that changes what I was thinking. I thought his injury was worse than they were letting on.
Your level of absurdity never ceases to amaze me...quit over-thinking this. TJ withheld the Keshon issue to protect our 3 seed. He succeeded in doing so. Simple as that. End of story. We already know TJ lied or withheld information from the selection committee to protect our 3 seed. There's no other reason to publicly announce this 10 minutes after our bracket drops. If he's not telling the truth about that then I'm very inclined to believe he's not telling the truth to the public also about Gilbert.
Maybe he is not telling the truth now and Keshon will be healthy and play in R32 game . . . . TJ is just toying with future opponents and their ability to gameplan. We already know TJ lied or withheld information from the selection committee to protect our 3 seed. There's no other reason to publicly announce this 10 minutes after our bracket drops. If he's not telling the truth about that then I'm very inclined to believe he's not telling the truth to the public also about Gilbert.
Lol, I literally just said that, so we are in agreement.TJ withheld the Keshon issue to protect our 3 seed. He succeeded in doing so. Simple as that. End of story.
May the record show that I regret stanning for Surly?
My lack of exposure saw them as a good will poster of a rival and the vitriol they produced as unwarranted.
I beseech the CF high court to absolve me of these wrongs.
I’m more seasoned and can spot the idiots easier now as I see I was/am still one.
I will humbly accept the CFHC’s ruling. Thank you.
That’s not a rational reason to invest in the conspiracy. What’s to be gained?
Possibility: He's hurt and unable to play to the level he expects of himself. So he shuts it down and rehabs, hoping to be healthy for pre-draft camps. If Keshon is a full participant in draft/pro scouting, I'll have LOTS of questions..
If he is a limited or non-participant in pro scouting this offseason, it confirms to me that he is really hurt and this is a non-story
You have info that indicates his dad is involved, in opposition to TJs wishes? This is like leading an Olympic marathon and quitting at the finish line. Playing a college final 4 is a once in a lifetime opportunity. The NBA combine in May is a no-chance-in-hell opportunity. He is going to have to live with this decision for the next 40 years. His dad and TJ are the 2 opposing forces. Is he 100%? Obviously no. Could he still play without causing long term damage? No one knows.
So you're saying that if you were ISU's head coach, you would have publicly announced Gilbert's injury before the selection show yesterday? We already know TJ lied or withheld information from the selection committee to protect our 3 seed. There's no other reason to publicly announce this 10 minutes after our bracket drops. If he's not telling the truth about that then I'm very inclined to believe he's not telling the truth to the public also about Gilbert.
Yes, but you didn't end the story there. Read your next sentences...it doesn't make sense why you assume TJ is lying beyond that.Lol, I literally just said that, so we are in agreement.
Exactly. We don't have all the facts and likely never will. I'm wondering if KG stayed in the lineup because Milan went down and Tamin was not 100%. Either way, lets all be grateful for KG being a Cyclone.Reading tea leaves, if there was a reason Keshon was a "locker room problem" or there were bigger issues, he isn't sitting front row during the bracket announcement with the team. Especially if that announcement comes almost immediately after the bracket announcement. If he is a problem, you don't have him in the room. If he was a problem, he probably doesn't travel with the team at all the last few weeks when he wasn't playing.
Any rumors feel like making up drama, and I have to say, listening to CW's podcast from last night just reinforces that it was a good decision to just call it like it was. Let the players play and not be worried about slipping up and saying something about Keshon not being available.
That said, we have a good opportunity to get to the 2nd weekend. If we get there, we see what happens!
