I like Freeman, but as long as we have Jefferson, don't feel that is a good post tandem for ISU. Strong believer staff needs to find a rim protecting/ rebounding post in the portal. My only caveat would be if staff feels Rock is ready to play 20 mpg next year.

I like Dix on offense, but not impressed by his defense. But maybe coaching can fix that.

When you are not required to play defense you generally don’t. I would assume whatever school he goes to next would improve his defense and he will be fine.

lol 2m for him is insane

I've only seen a little bit of him but I didn't think he was all that good.

Could celebrate a post-bucket and one to further tire himself out with the best of them though.

He’s probably not top-of-the-market good, but he’s good enough that wealthy or desperate programs can justify overpaying imo

If the top of the market is $2 million, he’s probably worth $1.5 or at least $1.25 imo . If he’s the missing piece, overpaying by just $500k is easy to justify for deep pocketed programs in this uncapped era.

I have to imagine Iowa loses everyone except for probably Pryce Sandfort. I imagine he sticks around if Iowa gets either of their top two choices
Where else are they going to go? For most of their roster, Iowa is the only P5 school they can play at.

Better question is why would McCollum or Devries want them? Both of those coaches value good defense. That certainly doesn’t describe any of those bums

Iowa fans ALWAYS think it's just other schools that tamper with their players. It's so hilarious.
That’s tweet is wildly speculative without naming names. Kind of BS by ILoveIowaBasketball to taint his portaling like this without providing more details. Butthurt AF.

@FinalFourCy name a player other than Dix and Freeman that will be playing P5 basketball next year at a school that isn’t Iowa. Traore maybe? Dembele maybe? Pryce maybe? Isn’t that the list?

Regarding Dix or Freeman going to Creighton - I wonder what happens if Greg McDermott takes the Indiana job - Keith Murphy had a tweet about him being the odds on favorite there (and that TJ wasn't interested)

Maybe Creighton hires Mad Fran!

I don't pay attention enough to the NIL funds to know how much we can spend, but it seems to me the thing to spend top $ on would be a big-time veteran PG. Teams that have veterans, and particularly veteran backcourts make deep NCAA runs. As long as you have some sort of a rim protector/rebounder you can do a lot with 3 and even 4 gaurds on the floor at once. That's assuming your combo type guards can rebound a little.
