I know ISU's coaching staff doesn't like to get on the refs, and I generally support that as opposed to coaches who are out on the floor screaming for the whole game. But sometimes it needs to happen, especially when a clear fouling discrepancy is apparent, or baby gloves are coming out for the opponent. Sometimes the refs need a little reminder to fair things up.

TJ talks to the refs constantly.

You do realize that our 2 best perimeter defenders are not playing, our 3rd best fouled out and we are playing a 6’ walkon!!!
I do realize that.

Do you realize that my post wasn’t a criticism? Critical thinking, give it a try

Great effort for a team without two starters, Jones had an unbelievable game. My only complaint would be BYU was torching us from distance, why not change it up and try a zone earlier than with 3:30 left in the game? BYU was doing a great job of dribbling penetration and then dishing it out to the corner, why not stop helping out and stay in the corner or at least the passing lane. BYU is a solid team, if they continue to play like they are, hitting 3s and making free throws they can win this tournament.
Gee, second guessing the coaches. That's a new one!

Bet you they miss every open shot against Houston tomorrow.
LOL, of course they will be cold...that's how this has to work.

I would LOVE if we advanced to the Sweet 16 and got to meet a "cinderalla" that had a lights out run up to that point, then we get a cold team...you know...to off set those many years of drawing the eventual national champ

Yeah a FF would be cool, but that isn't happening either so I'd still take the Big 12 tourny championship.
Why do you think it can’t happen? A bad Oregon State team that had no business even being in the tournament was a possession away from the F4 five years ago. Countless other examples of similar teams doing the same. If they can do it we sure as hell can.

My armchair take on BYU is they are an example of what elite ball movement can do for ok talent. I'll probably have them going 1-1 in the tourney.
Agree, I think they have a pretty good shot at getting their first tournament win since Jimmer Ferdette, but don’t see them getting to the second weekend.

them hiring Kevin Young from the NBA was genius....the NBA has never been more of an offensive league than it is today....and even though having a really good defense can take you far, having a really good offense with sharp shooters ever and great spacing, that's a deadly combination.

Probably better for the tournament seeding to also have Tamin not okay and lose close than to play him and still lose while he’s limping. The committee is watching these games and they are seeing that we are down 2.
Yup saw we were competitive
If Duke loses tomorrow without Flagg do they drop off the 1

Probably not unless they get whipped

I would not feel good about this if I were BYU. We playing with half our guys, and they have really been exposed defensively in our two matchups.

BYU just has so many guys you can attack, guys that can't guard at all....easy to create mismatches. Honestly I would love to see them in our bracket.
Bad take on wanting them in our bracket

If you don't play a lot of zone, not sure how well you execute

Saw KSU switch to zone yesterday a Baylor mowed through it. Yes it's Tang but he cut his teeth on 1-3-1 at Baylor

With guys out I think you have to stick with what you are comfortable with
