There is only two games where could have gone the other way: WVU and Arizona
Houston-maybe
K-State, OSU, Kansas just flat out beat us.
Inexplicable TOs are what holds this team back.
And the shortest thread title ever. This thread has to be in the running for worst thread title ever.
I just saw an OSU team that out played us and it was front the start to end of the game. IF we play OSU ten times this year, we would probably win 8-9 of those games, but our effort/focus lacked last night.I'll give you KSU and KU as they just played very well, but there seemed like 1,000 chances last night for ISU to take advantage of OSU's ineptness.
Cutting it to 6 several times, 5, and 4 all just needed patient possessions to keep at it, and then the OSU technicals needed the same and instead ISU just flailed around.
Now I'm tempted to start a thread titled "I."And the shortest thread title ever.
Gilbert needs to live at the end of the bench for the rest of the season. More turnovers than points makes him a big liability.
Okie State
Arizona
WVU
Those are the only for sure games I think we could chalk up as wins.
Maybe: Houston
No: Kansas and Kansas State were blowout losses so I can’t say it would have mattered for certain.
It’s crazy how a few games swing changes so many mindsets on how good this team can be. I’m not saying don’t be frustrated but down key starters does matter.
Full strength we are looking at something like 24-4 or 25-3 and no one on this board would be wringing their hands. But we have been dealt injuries and losses added up.
I personally think we can’t hit the panic button until we see what things are like at full strength again. Just the optimism in me. And not faulting people who are down. But don’t agree with saying the season is over and this team is done and this team won’t do anything of note in March.
IMO the K-State loss doesn't happen if Arizona doesn't hit that half court shot... and I don't think the KU loss happens because by that point they were all in their own heads.
I'm going to say the WVU and Houston losses stand (I think that Houston game was as close as it was because Houston didn't take our depleted team seriously and we punched them in the face... and I think they play us completely differently if we were fully healthy); everything else gets flipped.
