Yes i believe so. As I recall this season is also broken into distinct story arcs, but after each set of three episodes there’s ~1 year time jump. That timeline is supposed to help connect us from Andor Season 1 in 5 BBY up until Rogue One in 1 BBY.

Shes been around a long time, youll see her name on a lot of films over the past 40 years. Some people just cant do some roles and I think she bit off more than she could chew with her current one.
She worked on a ton of big stuff in the 80s and 90s, particularly when she was working with Spielberg. The track record the last few decades have been pretty meh, and I don't think anyone thinks Star Wars has thrived under her.
The smartest thing she has done in the past year was give Filoni full control over the storyline/canon. Hopefully as they move forward having someone with depth of knowledge of the IP will keep future projects more in check. Not having that in place before last year led to a ton of issues. The sequel trilogy was a mess for a lot of reasons but not having someone with final say over creative direction was one of the biggest problems
I'm certainly glad somebody as passionate as Filoni (and Favreau by proxy) is sitting in that seat, but Lucasfilm has desperately needed *somebody* making these calls a la Kevin Feige since being acquired by Disney.
Star Wars today became officially saved from the tyranny of Kathleen Kennedy. She will go down as someone who destroyed the franchise
Looks like Andor will be released three episodes at a time for four weeks in a row. Seems like a cool way to deliver the different story arcs more like standalone works. Hopefully that means 90+ minutes of Andor a week (without Disney's 600 hours of credits each episode).

I don’t work on films directly but I work in toys/collectibles on the huge licensed properties.
When you are in studio meetings or like a summit presentation of a studio’s upcoming projects, you can tell who the true passionate fans are vs maybe people who are experts at rising in executive business, they could be in any business and it just happens to be the movie business. A few are both but most seem one or the other. She’s just always felt like one of those high risers who happens to be in movies to me. Those people can still make $$$.
Those people still make money. However the way she ran Star Wars she lost a good chunk of the fanbase due to her awful policies and films. My opinions the sequels ruined Star Wars and drove away a good chunk of the fanbase. The acolyte was the dagger to more die hard fans.
But we did get things like Rogue One, Andor, and The Mandalorian on her watch. While I'm no Kennedy supporter, we have to acknowledge the good with the bad.
I also get that it's an unenviable task to be the custodian of franchise like SW. To ensure that it continues, they had to entice a new generation while still maintaining some sort of connection to the existing fanbase. That was never going to be easy, especially in the social media era of fandom. The many missteps caused by not having a coherent story with the sequel trilogy was a major problem, as was bringing back legacy characters only to basically crap all over them. They basically failed at both tasks set before them.
Honestly, they had two better routes. They could have gone the ST:TOS/TNG route. Set things far enough in the future that most the OG characters should be dead and their exploits are legend. Or just freaking recast the OG characters and tell continuing stories with those. If we've been able to handle a half a dozen or more James Bonds and Jack Ryans, we can handle a new Luke Skywalker.

Trying to avoid some of these special looks as they often end up spoiling things. I am rewatching season one right now. Dang this show was so good.
IMO not really much in the way of spoilers. What little there is that might be considered spoiler territory I'm pretty sure was in the trailer from last week as well.
I started last night and quickly got through the first 3 episodes. Better than I remember the first time. I remember being kind of underwhelmed with the first 2 episodes. I had completely forgotten the whole thing started with him searching for his sister, which pretty much was a non-factor for the rest of the season. I wonder if there is any resolution to that in season 2 or if it was just a plot device to get him in the situation that started the whole chain of events? We will find out soon!
So there is a line about the next 4 years leading into Rogue One. Is that 4 years of show timeline that will be all in season 2, or is that 4 more seasons planned of Andor?
