Hopefully this forecast model is wrong. Might make getting to the game a little tricky.

Megan on WHO-TV this morning has Des Moines & Ames corridor in the 5"-7" band. Pretty tricky to yet to determine if the front moves north or south. Hopeful it is a "dry" snow like on Wendesday.

Of course I went to use the snowblower yesterday to clear the sidewalk on an empty lot in our neighborhood and the drive belt fell off the drive pulley, and I can't get the damn thing back on without taking the blower housing off the frame. WHY ARIENS, WHY?!

It’s not very tricky. I stand by what I stated above. The European Model has very little snow (an inch or less ending by 1:00 PM or sooner tomorrow). The GFS has been a disaster in terms of accuracy for many years.

I’m not talking about any snow we get later today. I’m talking about tomorrow’s event (or non event).

We're flying down tomorrow and taking an uber from an Airbnb. Hopefully it's less stressful that way.
Enjoy your cruise, when we sailed out of Galveston on the Jubilee last year, we went to the same places it looks like your cruise is going. Have to say the West Caribbean is not my favorite, we much prefer the Southern or Eastern Caribbean. The people of Mexico would just not leave you alone, we did like Honduras, very pretty beaches.

Wife is supposed to drive to Madison Wisconsin area from West Des Moines at around 2pm. That's probably not a great idea I think.

Not taking it as gospel, just an observation: Wx Underground had 3-4" in DSM yesterday. Now they are only showing snow showers with little accumulation.

Hey mine too but we are northeast of Des Moines a ways. We are in the debating stage. I think she should take the kids out of school early and then she’ll be fine but she doesn’t want to do that

Watching the weather forecasts last night was interesting. Seemed like every hour or so the projections would go up or down at least 2". This is either going to be a messy snow or next to nothing the way they keep changing the forecast models.

I have no idea about Earl. I’m a retired meteorologist.
Thanks for sharing your experienced thoughts and prediction. Hope we get less, for game travel, but I always have to take wait and see what we get.
